Organizing tip: Take a moment to mourn that your child has outgrown some of the toys he used to play with regularly. Then, get rid of them.
Have a ‘Play-Date with Toys’ and invite younger cousins and friends you know. Have them select toys from your ‘donate’ pile. If you want to give them where you feel they will be appreciated by other children, call your local day care centers, children’s hospital, homeless shelters. See if they would be interested in your toys.
Donate to charities like your local Salvation Army or Goodwill or Sister Thrift. Reach out and give to those in need.
Admit to yourself that the clothes you hope to one day fit into again are jamming your closet and wrinkling the clothes you actually wear. While you’re at it, admit that you wouldn’t really want to wear most of those clothes again if you could get into them. – Beth Hering
